Backend maths, source control and a new AI
The largest change of the last few months is that a game's maths no longer has to run in the player's browser. Author it as a component under the editor's maths sheet, deploy it from the new Maths RGS panel, and the platform turns it into a backend function with its own HTTP endpoint. Publishing rewires your frontend to call it.
New guides cover the whole path:
- XGENIA RGS — connect, create an operator, register a game.
- Maths Components — the maths sheet, the four tabs, and what Deploy does.
- Publishing a game to RGS — how Publish wires the frontend to live endpoints.
- Testing and simulation — measuring RTP on the deployed artifact.
- Round tracking — how bets and wins reach Bet History.
- Provably fair maths — the commit/reveal pipeline and its exact hashing rules.
- Stake Engine — the same job against Stake's RGS.
Maths Components became source control
The Math Components section is now split four ways by where a component lives: Local for authoring, Deployed for a read-only mirror of what is actually on the platform, Changed for the difference between them, and Commits for deploy history. Deploy pushes only what changed and records a commit message.
The two drags do different things, deliberately: a component dragged from Local runs in the browser, and one dragged from Deployed arrives as an Aggregator calling the live endpoint — including from the editor preview.
Simulation moved to the platform
Simulating a maths component now runs on the game server rather than on your machine, and is offered only for deployed components. A local component is a working copy; an RTP measured from one described a script that had never been near the server.
Long runs execute as many short chunks with the totals and the component's state carried across, so a feature spanning a boundary continues correctly. Stop takes effect at the next boundary and keeps the rounds already run.
A new AI, and the old AI bar is gone
The AI bar above the node canvas, its /Function, /UI, /Image and database slash commands, and the AI Function node have all been removed. Everything the AI does now happens in the Chat panel, which can build and rewire graphs, write JavaScript, inspect running state, and drive the RGS and publish flows.
XGENIA AI now reaches every model — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, DeepSeek — through OpenRouter, so it needs an OpenRouter key. A vendor's own key will not work, not even for that vendor's models.
A node's Script is now live
The Script property that every node carries used to be decorative. Editing it now replaces that node instance's behaviour — see Editing a node's Script for what can be overridden, and for the two ways a published game differs from the editor.
Panels added, hidden and withdrawn
Project Styles and the AI Image Editor are in the sidebar. Project and editor settings merged into one Settings panel with two tabs. Assets and Node References are experimental and off by default — turn them on in Settings → Editor → Experimental panels.
Cloud Functions and Cloud Services are no longer registered: backend logic is authored as a Maths Component now. Their guides remain, with notices, and nothing has been deleted from the codebase. The three development-only panels (File Explorer, Design Tokens, Undo Queue) have been removed.
Editor panels lists what is where.
Payments are switched off
Deposits and withdrawals are disabled platform-wide. Deposit Balance, Withdraw Balance, Create Deposit, Create Deposit (Stripe) and Get Player ID by Name are marked deprecated and cannot succeed.
Play money is now set on the player instead of paid in, with three new nodes: Create New Player, Update Player and Get Player. Get Balance by Player ID still works — a read is not a payment.
Node reference
Every node that points at this site now has a page — 44 were added in this pass, including the RGS player and game-session nodes, the Aggregator, the provably-fair and monitor nodes, the Keno nodes, and the Pixi reel nodes. Deprecated nodes now say so on their own page.
The four email and password nodes (Send Email Verification, Verify Email, Request Password Reset, Reset Password) are deprecated, and the older Cloud Function node is superseded by the current one.
