XGENIA AI
XGENIA AI leverages Large Language Models for app development: describe what you want, and the assistant builds it in your project — nodes, wiring, JavaScript, layouts — rather than handing you code to paste.
It lives in the Chat panel in the editor's left sidebar.
This page changed with the 2026 releases. The older AI bar above the node canvas, with its /Function, /Read from database, /Write to database, /UI and /Image slash commands, and the AI Function node it produced, have all been removed. Everything the AI does now happens in the Chat panel. If you are following a video or article that shows the AI bar, it predates this change.
What you need
An OpenRouter API key. XGENIA AI reaches every model — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, DeepSeek — through OpenRouter, so a single key covers all of them.
An OpenAI key, an Anthropic key, or any other vendor's key will not work, not even for that vendor's own models.
Paste the key in the Chat panel's settings — the gear in its header opens Provider & Tools, on the AI Provider tab — then pick a model.
What it can do
- Build and rewire node graphs, including whole components.
- Write and edit JavaScript Function nodes.
- Inspect the running preview's state and help debug it.
- Search the project and answer questions about node ports from the runtime's own node reference.
- Turn a reference image or an HTML sketch into XGENIA visual nodes.
- Drive the Maths RGS panel and the publish flow.
- Commit, and revert to a checkpoint it created.
Images, video and audio
Generative image work is a separate panel: the AI Image Editor generates images, video and audio, composes them on a canvas, and refines them with inpainting and layer tools.
Driving the editor from outside
XGENIA also exposes itself as an MCP server, so an outside agent — Claude Code — can launch the editor, open a project, type prompts into this Chat panel and read the answers back, press the running game's buttons to check the result, screenshot the editor, and restart the app when it wedges.
