Canvases & History
The AI Image Editor is in early alpha. Panels change often.
Canvases
Click Canvases in the top bar to open PROJECTS & CANVASES.
A project starts with Main Canvas. Add more by typing a name into NEW CANVAS and clicking Add.
Use a canvas per asset family rather than per asset — one for UI icons, one for character art, one for backgrounds. Related work stays side by side, and switching context is one click.
Sync to Repository
The toggle at the bottom — write changes to file system for Git — decides whether your canvases are written to disk as part of the project.
Turn it on for anything real. Art that lives only in the editor's memory is art that is not in your repository, not on your teammates' machines, and not in any commit you could roll back to. With sync on, canvases version alongside the rest of the project.
Generation history
The clock button at the bottom-left of the canvas toggles the HISTORY panel.
Every generation is recorded with an item count in the header. On a fresh project it reads No generation history found.
History earns its keep on the fourth or fifth variation, when the version you liked was three prompts ago and you cannot reproduce the wording. Rather than re-prompting from memory, go back and pull it.
Undo, redo and opacity
The top bar carries Undo and Redo for canvas operations, the zoom level, a Toggle Black/White swatch, and a Canvas Opacity slider — useful for tracing over a reference, or checking a generated layer against what sits underneath it.
